“Shoot the Duck” Principle Casting Call – Short Film – Not Paid

Wilmington, NC:

FILM SYNOPSIS:

Mia is the youngest skater in this year’s Shoot the Duck finals.

When obstacles begin to jump in the way of her winning, she must learn to keep her cool under pressure or lose the competition before it even begins.

IMPORTANT DATES

● Headshots and Resumes Accepted March 28th-April 10th (see detailed instructions below) ● Video auditions open from April 2th-April 12th ● Top choices will be notified by April 13th and will have to attend an In-Person audition as well.

● In-Person auditions will be held in Wilmington on Friday, April 20th (Group Skating Audition, everyone together, 4-6pm) & Saturday, April 21st (20 minute acting auditions. Please note all actors will be given a specific time within the 9am-9pm window.) ● Tentative Rehearsal Dates are June 4th & June 5th
(afternoon/evening)

● Tentative Filming Dates are between June 9th-June 14th

Must be confident on quad (old school, 4 wheel) roller skates OR roller blades.

The E-mail must include, two recent photos (head shot and body shot), age, height, weight, and wardrobe sizes, along with a note about skating abilities and any prior acting experience.

If we feel as though you are a good match for the role, we will send you a short monologue and request you submit a video audition for the Director, Shannon Silva.

**Please keep in mind this is not a paid gig, however it is great exposure! We want those submitting to be committed to showing up and making themselves available for the dates mentioned prior**
