GRANDMOTHER ROLE Feature Film: Finding Grace From the creator of Broken Church
We are currently seeking a strong older actress for the role of “Grandmom Coretta Thompson” in the upcoming faith-driven feature film Finding Grace filming in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
ROLE DETAILS:
Grandmom Coretta is the emotional and spiritual heart of the story — a warm, wise Southern grandmother raising her granddaughter Grace while helping guide her through faith, hardship, and purpose. Age Range: 55–75 Ethnicity: Open to African American, Afro-Latina, Latina, or ethnically ambiguous actresses with strong emotional presence and authentic grandmother energy.
SHOOT DETAILS: Filming begins June 5–7 Additional weekend scenes may follow Charlotte / Gaston County, NC area Non-Union Independent Feature Film LOOK / PERFORMANCE: Seeking natural, grounded performances with warmth, emotional depth, and believable Southern family energy. Church-going grandmother style and faith-based tone are important elements of the character.
