MFA STUDENT SHORT FILM: ORIENT
SYNOPSIS: A Muslim immigrant’s first night in America goes wrong when he can’t figure out which way the Qibla is.
LOOKING FOR:
1) YUSSEF (mid to late 20s), black/North African male: Curious by nature, Yussef finds himself out of his depths when a native attempt to get his bearings, backfires.
2) WINSTON (mid 30s to early 40s) black male: A kind samaritan who takes pity on Yussef when he reminds Winston of a formative chapter in his life.
