CASTING CALL FOR UT GRADUATE SCENE

5-minute scene from the Tony-winning play “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” by Edward Albee. Late one evening, after a university faculty party, middle-aged couple Martha and George receive an unwitting younger couple as guests, and draw them into their bitter and frustrated marriage.

Seeking: Austin-based actors to play:
• GEORGE (46, male, any ethnicity) – A professor of history in a small New England college who is married to the daughter of the president of the college.
• MARTHA (52, female, any ethnicity) – George’s wife, a domineering, discontented woman who alternately loves and reviles her husband.

Final Performance: Live in person on Monday, Feb 22. To be filmed and showcased via Zoom to other UT student directors & faculty who are active filmmakers in Austin.

Auditions: via Zoom, between Feb 8-12
Rehearsals: 2 sessions between Feb 15-21, based on the actors’ availability.
Covid safety measures enforced throughout the project. Free tests provided.

Compensations: This is a non-paid project, but we will provide an edited clip of the final performance to add to your acting reel.
