Casting Call for the short film “Bait” in Austin, TX

Great opportunity to participate in a short thriller from the UT MFA Film Production program for University of Texas at Austin.

Synopsis:

Taylor decides to solve her sister’s disappearance case by using herself as bait.

Needed:
1 Male (40s-50s), any ethnicity
1 Female (late 20s, 30s), any ethnicity
1 Female (20s), any ethnicity
1 Female (40s-70s), any ethnicity

Commitment:
4 Rehearsals: between late February through March 12
In Class Scene Work: February 23
3 Day Shoot or less (depending on the role): March 13, 14, 15.

Important information:
Shootings will be during night hours in Austin, TX.
Meals will be provided.
All Covid-19 precautions according to UT Austin guidelines. Crew members and actors will be tested for free before shooting start.

Compensation: a scene selected by the actor for his/her/them reel.

A little about me (the director):
I earned a BA in Filmmaking and a BS in Psychology in Paraguay. Nowadays I’m a MFA Film Production Candidate at UT Austin and a Fulbright Scholar. I worked as a director in both documentary and narrative in my home country.
WHAT DO YOU SEE?, my most recent fiction short, premiered in 2019 at Havana International Film Festival and won Best International Short Film at Festival de Cine de Huelva – Spain this year.

I’m excited to work with Austin actors!
