Casting Call

Columbia, SC:

Short film “Godfrey’s Light” currently casting several roles for mid-December shoot

Logline: On the night of the live, televised execution of a convicted killer, an anxious gas station employee discovers a cosmic similarity between herself and the killer.

Roles:
•Zoey:18-22, African-American, female, average build, curious, struggles to find the difference between the saint and the sinner
•Richard: 35-45, African-American, male, stocky build, caring father
•Guard: 40s, Caucasian, skinny build, isn’t phased by violence
•Godrey: 25-35, African-American, skinny, average build, prisoner on death row who hasn’t made the best decisions in life
•Announcer: Any age or gender

If interested in auditioning, contact us and we will send you the script for you to record a self-tape. You can audition for multiple roles. We will be accepting auditions until November 21.

All meals will be provided. As of now we do not offer pay, but we are currently applying for grants to change this so we will let you know by the end of the year if you are cast.
We plan on submitting to festivals such as Carrboro Film Fest, Atlanta Underground Film Festival, and the South Carolina Underground Film Festival.
