SOUND TO SEA – Columbia MFA thesis short seeking 8th grade extras near Wilmington, NC
Short film production seeking a talented ensemble of young actors aged 12-14 for shoot at Singletary Lake State Park in Kelly, NC–about 45 minutes outside of Wilmington. Girls are needed January 28th, and boys are needed January 28th and 30th.
SOUND TO SEA follows an 8th grader’s journey of self-discovery on an ecology field trip to North Carolina’s coast. Writer-director Ryan Craver is originally from Mooresville, North Carolina. TRUCK SLUT, his first short, premiered at the 2018 New Orleans Film Festival and won honorable mentions in the emerging filmmaker awards at Indie Grits as well as Palm Springs International Shortfest. SOUND TO SEA will serve as his thesis for the film MFA at Columbia University. It received support from both the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation as well as the David Ross Fetzer Foundation for Emerging Artists.
