IZZY TAYLOR, 32, is Josh’s equally ambitious wife. Coming from a splintered family, Izzy is bound and determined to create a picture-perfect family in a picture-perfect world. Her tight smile is as false as the hair on her head.
ROSE HUGHES, 65, is a homeless woman who is eternally optimistic, good natured and has an uncanny ability to cause mayhem wherever she happens to be. Buried beneath her cheerfulness, however, is deep grief and hurt that she can’t live with.
MATT TAYLOR, 17, is the son who appears to do everything absolutely right. Captain of the football team? Check. Honor roll? Check. Youth leader at church? Double check. Beneath all of the checks, Matt anxiously hides a secret that could crack his mask.
AMELIA TAYLOR, 10, is Josh’s precocious daughter who always wants to know the answers to the adult mysteries swirling around her. She is the only character who says what she means and means what she says.
BIG JOHNNY JOHNSON, 40, big, imposing former football player who has parlayed his fame into an incredibly successful used car dealership, Big Dog Cars. An alpha male among alpha males.
JIM “TWITCHY” TWITCHELL, 35, a perpetually twitching, nervous man who is a remarkably good salesman. The thorn in his side is Josh.
